Are you visiting Covenant for the first time? Here’s what you can expect.
You will find directions to Covenant on our website. Our service starts at 10 am on Sunday mornings. There is plenty of free parking adjacent to the church. The driveway entrance and exit are on Mae Anne Avenue. Park anywhere you see a free spot and come on in. A friendly greeter at the front door will help you get situated and find your way around the church. There are no stairs or steps to climb, the restroom is handicap accessible, and we offer assistance for the hearing impaired.
Dress comfortably and casually. There is no dress code at Covenant and you will see everything from blue jeans and faded T-shirts to dresses and business suits at the Sunday services.
Covenant is a church for people of all ages and nationalities, for people who are familiar with, just barely acquainted with, or for the totally new to the Holy Bible. You can consider the Bible to be our “textbook”, as our Pastor preaches the Bible as the inspired word of the God. We also believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the head of the church. We are all ministers of the Gospel (Good News of Jesus Christ). It’s just that simple.
The service which begins at 10 am has traditional and contemporary elements. We sing from hymnbooks and we have a worship/praise team with guitars, drums and keyboards. Our choir and organist lead the music through the hymns. We read from printed recitations and Bible passages. The choir is traditionally off in the summer and back in September. The service may begin with our love for the traditional rich hymns and choir anthems and at other times it will begin with the contemporary music but our service and the teaching from the sermons doesn’t change.
Copies of our sermons are available on the website.
We look forward to meeting you on Sunday!
