Men’s Retreat 2019About the Retreat
Covenant’s Men’s Retreat will be held Friday, September 20 – Sunday, September 22 at Lake Tahoe. Join us at the Zephyr Point Conference Center for a weekend of relaxation, challenging Bible Study and building relationships with each other and with Christ.
If we men will genuinely pursue knowing and loving our Great God, it will empower us to be the strong and courageous leaders God has called us to be in our homes, our churches, and the world. Joshua faced overwhelming opposition both from within Israel and from the pagan world around him; but he ends his life having lived with resolve to follow Yahweh his God wholeheartedly, no matter the consequences. Let’s explore how we too can be that kind of man for our homes, churches and world.
Our Speaker – Tony Slavin
Our key speaker will be Pastor Tony Slavin from Cornerstone Community Church in Incline Village, on the North shore of Lake Tahoe. Tony joined Cornerstone 2 years ago and previously led a church in Reno for 23 years before accepting his current call. Tony and his wife Theresa have 8 children and 8 grandchildren who bring them incredible joy. They are excited to be ministering in the beautiful North Lake Tahoe area where they can enjoy all the outdoor activities, especially hiking and mountain biking. When not outdoors, Tony enjoys reading something in the area of biblical studies, historical theology, philosophy, or various novels, especially by Stephen Lawhead.
The cost for the retreat is $190 which includes all food, lodging and retreat sessions and materials.
